Alumni Connect PPI Dunia: Vice President Urges Youth to Drive the Spirit of Nation Building

Tangerangtalk.Online - The younger generation and educated individuals in Indonesia, particularly alumni of overseas students, are expected to be the driving force behind productivity and economic value in nation building.

This aligns with the current efforts of the government to realize its vision of making Indonesia a developed country, including the continuous development of outstanding human resources.

This was expressed by Vice President K.H. Ma'ruf Amin during his keynote speech at the Alumni Connect event organized by the Indonesian Students Association Worldwide (PPI Dunia) at the Grand Ballroom of Menara BNI Pejompongan, Jakarta, on Friday (May 26, 2023).

The event, a collaboration between PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BNI) and PPI Dunia, aimed to bring together alumni of overseas students who are now pursuing careers in various sectors, to drive the spirit of nation building and make a broader contribution to Indonesia.

"I hope that the programs and activities of PPI can inspire more Indonesian citizens to pursue the highest level of education, even abroad, and then return to the homeland to contribute to the nation and the country," said the Vice President.

According to the Vice President, education plays a crucial role in enhancing literacy, which in turn drives the quality of human resources. Additionally, education serves as a catalyst for economic growth, job creation, and social mobility.

"Moreover, in realizing the grand vision of becoming a developed country amidst the current challenges and crises, our nation increasingly needs experts in various fields," he added.

The Alumni Connect PPI Dunia, which took place from May 25 to 27, 2023, is expected to be an important momentum for strengthening the alumni of overseas students in making a tangible impact on Indonesia.

Meanwhile, BNI President Director Royke Tumilaar stated that BNI understands the important role of the younger generation in national development and is committed to supporting the vision of making Indonesia a developed country.

"BNI is proud to support the Alumni Connect PPI Dunia event as a platform that strengthens the network among overseas alumni. Through collaboration and inspiration generated from this event, we hope to create positive synergy that drives the spirit of nation building and advances education in Indonesia," said Royke.

Furthermore, Royke stated that by participating in this event, BNI, as a global bank, aims to strengthen the network and relationships among alumni of overseas students, with the goal of making a greater contribution to Indonesia. (Press Release)
